And, oh, a good financial move is paying off high-interest loans with lower-interest loans. I used a portion of the 400K to clear my 100k loan with a higher 18% interest rate. It is Halloween, I have even decorated my cabin and parked the Actros on the yard for some scenic photos. Too bad I can’t hang around to hand out the candy. The grind calls. In Euro Truck Simulator two, the second milestone after buying a truck is upgrading your garage so that you can hire drivers. That requires 140K. I have to grind away some of the loan, gather at least 50K before thinking of taking the 400K loan to expand. This is the stage that makes or kills a business

I finally have enough money to top up on a loan and purchase my first truck. I went for a Mercedes Actros. But it seems like it came with some shenanigans. I crash, drive with headlights off or on at the wrong time and even run a traffic light. Typical real-life truck driver initiation in Euro Truck Simulator 2. You can only get it when you have the DLC, but remember, it is all about the patience, driving at a pace you can control and getting your lines perfect. If I am going to make 1 million a day, I’ll need to perfect these. Made it to 16k bank balance. With a 100K loan, I can get my first truck. But that’s business for another episode. Big Hauliers trucking knows slow but steady wins the marathon. After all, it is Euro Truck Simulator, not Need For Speed. It is the small winnings that make the journey possible. I don’t break my back working long hours. I prefer doing it smart. That is why any new skill that will give me 5% more income for the same driving time is working. Time to level up my fragile cargo skills. See if I can get better paying jobs. We haven’t made it to the bare minimum 16K I need to purchase my first truck. We will be there next episode.

This time, she gets a short job, but it still pays decent money bearing in mind her only overhead costs are 3 litres of water and cold ham sandwich.
