While you might not need them if you want to earn the good ending or save Duke when beginning the game, you’ll need your trusty gun working efficiently every time you squeeze the trigger. The only way to guarantee this is by keeping them as clean as possible.
How to Clean Weapons in Metro Exodus
- First, find a workbench. They are normally found in safehouses or on the train
- Enter the workbench then select the weapons section
- Choose a weapon to clean. An orange brush bar will tell you how dirty the weapon is
- If a weapon is all dirty, you will see a ‘Clean’ button. Press and hold the button to clean your weapon
Since you cannot clean a weapon when out in the field, it is wise to clean every time you see a workbench. The good news is it doesn’t cost you anything to clean any weapon on your inventory – just the time.
