RAGE was a great game to modders and console command users before the patch. This patch was bad news to most Rage console command users since it disabled the developer console in the game.

If your developer console is disabled, you can still enable it by setting the variable com_allowconsole to 1 in the RAGE launch properties.

  • Open Steam and right-click on RAGE
  • Select properties
  • Click Set Launch Options
  • Add +set com_allowconsole 1
  • Save and launch the game

Are more reliable option would be by editing default.cfg file in the game’s installation folder. Navigate to the ‘base’ folder in your game’s installation file and look for default.cfg

  • Open this file using your favorite text editor
  • Under the ‘unbindall’ command in the Upper Area, add this line
  • Com_allowConsole 1
  • Hit save and launch your game

To bring up the console during gameplay, hit your tilde (~) key on the keyboard once. A console command is enabled when you enter the command followed by 1 and hit enter. To disable a command, enter the command followed by 0 and hit enter.

  • Set sprint speed; default is 450 – pm_sprintspeed
  • Set walking speed; default is 160 – pm_walkspeed
  • Set crouching speed; default is 160 – pm_crouchspeed
  • Set jump height; default is 52 – pm_jumpheight
  • Get indicated amount of race money – give racecash
