How do you unlock the Stock Market in Cookie Clicker?

Cookie Clicker

Cookie Clicker is a unique incremental game that prepares you for the stock market game. Having been developed by a French programmer called Julien ‘Orteil’ Thiennot, the game revolves around clicking a large cookie to earn other cookies. With the earned cookies, you can purchase many assets such as mines, factories, and farms, among other assets.

You may also want to unlock the Stock Market in the game and access the bank properties. If you are new to Cookie Clicker or don’t know where to find the Stock Market, this guide will come in handy.

Is the Cookie Clicker Stock Market random?

The Stock Market is a minigame added to Cookie Clicker by the developers to increase its difficulty mode. The Cookie Clicker Stock Market operates on a random fluctuation. The stocks’ value is random but conforms to a set of rules. Some of the rules are affected by the Supreme Intellect or Reality Bending.

Stocks have a resting value, a floor value, and a ceiling value, and the stock market as a whole has a bank ceiling. They are not hard caps but can affect the price changes near hard caps.

Each stock is in one of the six modes, namely slow rise, fast rise, slow fall, fast fall, stable and chaotic mode with custom added rules. A stock mode is internally stored as a number ranging from 0 to 5. The rules apply once on every tick, with the additional rules applying regardless of the mode.

How does the Stock Market work in Cookie Clicker?

Stock Market Cookie Clicker

The Stock Market is used to buy shares and sell them for profits at higher prices. It is the easiest way to make money. However, there are six patterns in a stock behaves that you need to consider and the actions you need to take. Below is a list of these solutions and what you should do:

  • Stable: In this situation, the price neither rises nor falls; sometimes, there is a rebound. It is best if you wait for the price to rise or fall.
  • Slow increase: In this phase, you will see the prices of the shares slowly rising. When buying, you will have to wait until a ceiling is reached in the price for it to be sold.
  • Chaotic: You will notice large drops, rises, or stability in the shares. There is no precision, and hence you should not make purchases.
  • Fast increase: You will rely on the slow increase strategy, the only difference being the fast increase’s fall is not that fast. The significant risk can therefore be seen.
  • Fast fall: You should sell them all at once when you see a drastic share fall. On the other hand, you can buy if there is a huge fall because it represents a profit from one moment to the next.
  • Slow fall: When there is a slow fall of the shares, you should be aware of the direction you will take to handle the situation. When the price falls a lot, you should buy when the price is below $5.

Stock Market is not showing on Cookie Clicker.

If the Stock Market does not show on Cookie Clicker, there are three solutions. One of them is to add the Lifetime Stock Market Profits stat on the stat page. The stat will judge the achievement so people can slowly earn it after a few years while playing the game.

The second option is to add 32 new fortunes, two for each stock that can predict or influence the stock market heavily. Lastly, you can remove the stock market, known to be efficient work.

If you cannot still see or access your stock market, you should level up your banks with sugar lumps to level one or higher. Once you do this, a button will appear on the bottom left corner of the bank tab. Click on that button to be directed to the Stock Market.
